It’s crazy how many dope squads the NW, and Seattle especially has. Like I’d be willing to put money down saying that Seattle has some of the most cohesive musical groups right now, bar none. One of my personal favorites is FiNE MALT LYRiCS, who’s turn up exterior isn’t a hold on their music. Sure, they have some songs that are VERY turnt up, and without a doubt blows the roof off of shows, but each member has their own aesthetic that is very unique. For instance, Tre Ross, Ziggy Zay, & Webb Wavvy can all go from Trap bangers, to some immediate conscious tracks that make you wanna sit back and grab a 40oz with your friends and BBQ in 1997. Astro Boi & GeeQ, both are students of Based World legend, Keyboard Kid, and have some of the most unique production styles in the town. Astro, has also come into his own as a talented rapper this year as well. I can’t forget about RudeAssMogli, who finally stepped to the helm of the mic this year and started dropping tracks this year, including this past week, “Pull Up”, with town legend iLLChris. I’m proud to have watched these guys grow from being among each others first interviews, to becoming notorious in the town and one of the most sought after live acts, performing at the 2015 MCC Annual Party, opening for Juicy J, Pouya and Fat Nick, performing at KUBE Summer Jam 2015 and more, and more….
