Cee Goods’ new project #GoodVibes is now available. Featuring big indie artists on the west coast, this project is a great way to end the summer. Whether it’s indie soul, or traditional hip hop, “Good Vibes” has something for everyone.
This project bumps and definitely feels like the summer sun going down. If you’re looking for (all good) vibey vibes, this is a great project to check out. I was able to ask Cee Goods about his summer and a little more about the project.
Featured Artists: Hanif, Blossom, Jon Belz, His and Hers, and Mikey Vegaz all representing Portland, OR. King Leez from Black Umbrella records represents Tacoma Washington. Champagne Duane hails from Oakland, CA. Amanda Noelle, Tope, and Marky D all represent Los Angeles, CA.
So, how was Summer 2016? Besides releasing an extra dope project in August?
Summer was great for me. Recently moved back from LA to Portland, the summer was a great chance for me to get caught up on projects, work with a lot of artists, and still have time for great events. Nothing better than summer.
Any particular track stand out as memorable to your work on #GoodVibes?
Memorable tracks on “Good Vibes” for me is either “Live your Life”, because that was my first collaboration with the talented Portland singer Blossom, and I was lucky enough to grab Hanif (Luck One) for a feature before his “retirement”. I love the outcome of the track, I think it sets the mood perfectly for “Good Vibes”. “Is this Love” is memorable because i’ve had this in the vault for a minute now and finally I got to share with the world an incredible song with features from 3 heavy weights all very known in the NW area, King Leez, Mikey Vegaz & TOPE.
Good lookin’ out for the West Coast in this project! Is the East Coast on deck? Can you tell us what is next?
I am working with a couple artists from NY right now, and I have a great relationship with my good friend “Old Gold” producer/artist from the big indie group Motion Cntrl. He gives me great critiques and inspires me with his production style, sound choice, and lyrical writing. He can write a classic song in 30 minutes. To finish out the year I have a project titled “The Campaign” with artist from the Bay “Champagne Duane”. This is very politically powerful work that I’m excited to share with the world, because I feel the world needs to hear this more than ever. Other than that, just getting back to producing a lot for my own content and working the publishing world.
