Artist: No-Uh
Hometown: Seattle, Washington
I was born and raised in the northwest. I’m very passionate about hip hop and anything having to do with hip hop culture. Music has changed my life in so many ways so I just strive to make sure I can make music my job for the rest of my life.

Finish this sentence: “When people hear me, they’re probably going to think of…” Every white rapper ever. I always get the Eminem and Mac Miller comparison. I try to use all of my influences in hip hop to create my own sound.

What sparked your inspiration for a music career? When I was younger I used to love listening to whatever kind of music my mom would play in the car on the way to school. It would range from System Of A Down to R. Kelly. I used to freestyle with my friends and my brother in my basement around the age of 8 and didn’t really begin writing my raps down until I was like 12 or 13. Music has always made me FEEL, if that makes sense. My passion for just music in general is really what sparked my interest in making my own.

What crew do you roll with? My close friends from highschool and my collective Swaying Needle. We’re a team composed of different artists and groups around the greater Seattle area.

Who are your go to producers? Christian Martin, or the Emeraldgod is my go to producer. He’s from Tacoma, a town I lived in for awhile. He’s made the beats for some of my favorite songs.

What other special talents can you throw down? I literally have none. That’s another reason why I love making music. It’s been my only creative outlet my whole life

What separates you from the rest? I’m original. I make music that I want to hear. I make shit that I think is dope. I don’t let any outside influences determine what kind of content I put in my music. What you hear is what you get.

Next moves: IM DROPPING MY DEBUT MIXTAPE IN MARCH OR APRIL OF 2017!!!!! IM PUTTING MY HEART AND SOUL INTO THIS PROJECT AND I’VE NEVER BEEN MORE EXCITED FOR ANYTHING IN MY FUCKIN LIFE. Also my collective has various shows we’re performing at/hosting. My manager and I were also invited to shoot a music video for my song “exhausted” in Los Angeles in December. STAY TUNED 2017 IS GOING TO BE RIDICULOUS.
