Inside The Project: Alien$lim “180$lim”

By: Carrick Wenke

Another dope artist from Tacoma is Alien$lim representing the 4900 crew. I wanna say the first time I heard of $lim was sometime last year on a song with Stoney Hoop, but I could be wrong. Either way, this collab project with 180Dazz, 180$lim, is for sure fire. 6 tracks all falling in at under 2 or 3 minutes, I recommend track 2 “Glide” as my favorite.

How did you choose the title of your project?
I brainstormed through a couple names before my producer 180Dazz and I decided to just put our names together and use that as the title.

Can you explain the story behind your artwork and who is the designer?
During the making of this project I was experimenting with sounds and wanted to make something that people felt was authentic yet something new to the ear. So I then hit up my fellow team member Yung Coins who is a graphics designer to put something together to fit the vibe.

How long have you been working on this project?
4 months

Where was it recorded?
My closet home studio.
