Coming along with his much anticipated solo debut EP, Crow drops a 6 song opus of dark tracks produced by Anvil, Joel, and UDF’s own BB Sun.
How did you choose the title of your project?
Crow’s live in nests, and I’m kinda showing you my lair and what’s been going on.
Can you explain the story behind your artwork and who is the designer?
Emilio Chavez, also known as Excel Visuals filmer for SIQFUX and shit, he’s a good homie of mine and he’s a pretty talented artist so he just animated it. The picture was from when I just got in a car crash and he animated that and put it in front of a corn field because I like the idea of the whole scarecrow thing and corn fields. I just wanted that picture because it looked raw and I added the nail polish on one hand and one new tattoo. Pretty much we just threw the corn field behind it with the crow’s and he just worked his magic.
How long have you been working on this project?
Actually recording, probably like 3 months, and then another month of waiting for shit to align.
Where was it recorded?
Undercaste Studios. My engineer Lincoln is super filthy and pretty much the sound behind what I been trying to do.
Who are the producers?
One of my homies Joel that I met about a year ago produced the Intro and “Walk The Plank”. He can do some tight dark shit so I fuck with him. Anvil of course because that’s my partner. He’s filthy, he did “Edgar Allen Crow” and “No Contact” with Solar Sam. Young Teezy, who produced “Everyday”, produced “Don’t Look At Me When I Cry”. And BB Sun produced “And I”, that one was dope. Everyone did a dope job, and Lincoln tied that thing together so I have to give big props to him once again.
Who was featured?
Solar Sam and RudeAssMogli.
What was your favorite track?
Probably “And I” just because it goes the hardest and it sounds real good.
Who would you like to thank for helping with this project?
My engineer Lincoln, Anvil, Joel, Young Teezy, BB Sun, Solar Sam, Carrick Wenke, RudeAssMogli, and everyone else that’s playing a positive role in my life right now.
