Inside The Project: Porky $coop! x Keyboard Kid “The Adventures Of Porky $coop & Keyboard Kid: The Midnight Society”

Interview By: Carrick Wenke

About a year ago when I first linked with Porky $coop! he mentioned he was dropping a series of EP’s this year with different producers, starting with none other than Based World (and music in general) legend, Keyboard KidThe Adventures Of Porky $coop & Keyboard Kid features Keyboard’s unique trap beats, in which $coop raps over a little more aggressive than on his last release, Playing In The Storm, but while still keeping his tongue twisting lyrics. To match the eerie undertones of the music, the cover art is based off of spooky 90s favorite, “Courage The Cowardly Dog”.

How did you choose the title of your project?

It’s the adventures of Porky Scoop and Keyboard Kid! It’s only the beginning we’re gonna have more adventures with different homies.

Can you explain the story behind your artwork and who is the designer?

It’s inspired by “Courage the Cowardly Dog” (laughs), but it fits the mood of the music, it’s tight. My guy Chris G. drew it up for me he’s dope as fuck.

How long have you been working on this project?

It only took like a month to make but I made it months ago. The release took longer then the actual creation.

Where was it recorded?

We recorded it all at Undercaste Studios.

Who are the producers?

The legend, Keyboard Kid.

Who was featured?

I think Porky $coop! got a verse on there somewhere….

What was your favorite track?

“Frozen Blunts” cuz I really spazzed on that one. And that beat is so amazing no one shoulda ever rapped on that, but shout to Key for letting me have that one.

What is the most personal track?

The first song “Ride Slow” kind of touches on why I am the way I am and how I think and feel about certain shit. A Lil’ glimpse of my mindstate I guess.

Who would you like to thank for helping with this project?

THE LOUDMOUTH COMPANY, my mom and sisters, Just Murph’s mom, Keyboard Kid, Dub for linking shit together, Randy at Undercaste, Chris G, Chris Vlolckmann, MidTown, and I know I forgot someone.
