Discovering TA7J through a Black Market post, I was instantly hooked. Submitting a video for “My City“, I was impressed by the entire package. The beat sounded like that new trapsoul that we’re all falling in love with, her voice was so unique, but reminiscent of the old R&B sound (think Immature), and lastly, the video was pretty clean.

Get to know this Lakewood, WA up & comer as we get to know her & get the juice on her new release “7 The EP“.

How did you choose the title of your project?
7. Simple that’s my fav number like ever.

Can you explain the story behind your artwork and who is the designer?
We were just taking pics downtown and this ended up being the coolest one. The homie Derrel of Westvill was the photographer.

How long have you been working on this project?
It took a month to make, then the actual mixing was what delayed the release. We started recording August and finished in October.

Where was it recorded?
The homie Aramis‘s room, then there was an issue with his manager where he stayed so we moved our recording over to my guy Gary‘s. #SuperTalented

Who are the producers?
Aramis and Gary, very super talented individuals.

Who was featured?
Aramis and that happened by accident, but the track slaps. It’s one of my favs.

What was your favorite track?
“Well Drinks” and “Where the Dank At?” Those slap so hard on some good speakers, woooo lit!

Who would you like to thank for helping with this project?
Aramis as always, and for real, Gary he came out of no where, and every time produces magic.
