So first of all, did anyone besides me notice that the cover of “4 Deep No Sleep” is a nod to Ruthless By Law’s 1992 west coast classic “A Lesson To Be Learned”? Well it’s appropriate since if I’m not mistaken, Larry’s dad was actually in RBL. I like the more classic G Funk sound Larry has been on for his last few projects and I really liked how incorporated his classic Trap sound back into this project so there’s something for fans new and old. I also loved how Larry demonstrated the slick pimp he is and side eyed the hater with the line “They say Larry June cant rap he’s all ad libs” on the song “TFM Boys Freestyle”. All around good project with me expecting nothing less as Larry always drops fire. This will definitely be a project the 4 Horsemen will be bumping this summer while we are getting big mojitos (our theme song is “4DEEP” anyways so it’s only right ¯\_(ツ)_/¯).”

Favorite Track: “Come a Long Way”
I definitely was not expecting the sound that I got with ‘4 DEEP NO SLEEP’. But I was pleasantly surprised with this somewhat new vibe that came with this record. I think that we get to see a different side of Larry, I fuck with it with tough.

Favorite Track: “Came a Long Way”
Totally wanted to give him more bombs because the first track came in strong and “Larry’s Anthem” is solid. My only thing is just how repetitive his bars get, even though production and instrumentals shift throughout. His songs stand alone though so it’s worth a listen no doubt and I also love his freestyles.

Favorite Tracks: “Listen Here” and “Nice & Slow Larry”
“4 DEEP NO SLEEP” is a different kinda sound to me but in a good way for sure! I fuck with the slowed down vibe he brought to this album in some of these tracks. It is very ~sensual & deep Larry~ but also something you can go sip your $8.99 organic water to while you smoke a blunt or bump in the car. I can’t wait to hear more from Larry, thank you sweetheart 🙂

Larry took it back with all these classic beats. This is definitely the BBQ soundtrack for this Summer! Good job Larry!
